F Bench Cutters originated in Salida, Colorado, in 1989, with principal owners, Pam and Jack Shields, standing refernce sire Playin Safari (NCHA $88,842). A breeding facility was established in 1998 at our new 150 acre ranch in Rio Vista, Texas, just southeast of Fort Worth.

At Playin Safari's death in 2004, we acquired Smart Mouth (NCHA $43,464), and have an outstanding crop of his yearlings. We love showing off our horses and welcome visitors to our ranch.
